A windy but mostly sunny day for us as we left the Aire for the next little headland along the coast, our first stop was in St Pol-de-Leon, where we walked out to the small islet of St Anne along the Plage de St Anne….

We then walked a little further along the coast but were rather disappointed when we reached the next beach – Plage de la Greve du Man….

Here there was only a little bit of sand, mindyou we are here not long after high tide, so maybe a little patience would change things – we shall probably never know. Avoiding Roscoff which doesn’t look to have much in the way of beaches we headed straight up to the little peninsula of Perharidi and found our own little section of deserted little beaches – starting with Plage du Ruguel….

Walking around the tip of the peninsula (you can walk all the way round but the interior of this little peninsula appears to be some kind of private hospital) we reach the almost tropical looking Plage de la Pointe de Perharidy….

Next up was Plage de Perharidy with more beautiful white sand though getting to the sea was more tricky as the low tide reveals a rocky seabed….

A little further along is Plage de Pouldu….

At this point we about turned and returned to the van and moved a few short miles up the coast – still in the commune of Santec to walk around a headland to Plage de Billou….

And around the coast to this absolute beauty – Plage du Dossen stretching away into the distance….

Here we enjoyed a lovely walk along the beach and over to Ile de Sieck before continuing on to the next section of coastline around Cleder and on to our Aire for the night. One last walk before settling down for the evening took us firstly to Plage de Kervaliou….

And finally the much acclaimed and quite rightly so, stunning Plage les Amiets – 🤩

What an end to another fabulous day – how am I ever going to catalogue this journey?
Thoughts of the day:
- In all seriousness- how am I going to catalogue this journey – I have always maintained that every 5 or so miles of the Cornish coastline brings you to a new chapter – Brittany is proving similar.
- May be the French have already done this – ie the Pink Granite Coast – need to do some research when I have a mo
Today’s stats:
- Miles driven – 29
- Miles walked – 9
- Beaches – 10
- Aire – £11.73
- Food – £5.44
