Sunday 19th October 2025 – Longuivy to Trévou-Tréguignec….

Not a very nice day for us today – it started raining some time during the night and pretty much continued until late afternoon – however as the Aire we stayed in last night was just really the car park for visiting Ile de Bréhat, we decided to press on to Loguivy de la Mer and in a brief dry spell we wandered from the harbour to take a look at Plage de Roc’h Hir – nothing too exciting just a small part sandy cove….

Next up in the drizzle was the small village of Laneros and it’s not very attractive beach – du Pors Rand….

Whilst there we wandered part way along Sillon du Tarbert a 3km long spit of sand and rock preserved for wildlife (dogs on leads)….

Eventually the drizzle won and we decided to head back to the van and head straight to tonight’s park up rather than meander along trying to capture beaches on the way – though we will catch up with them when the weather improves – as we arrived in Trevor-Treguignec the weather appeared to be clearing so we made a quick dash for the beach and boy what a lovely surprise to find all this white sand….

All the while the sky is getting greyer and greyer but we decided to press on to the next beach – Plage de Royau – equally stunning but mid way across decided that the rain was getting too close from the direction that we had to walk back to so we about turned….

By the time we got back to Trestel Beach we were too late and the heavens opened – still pretty stunning….

Thoughts of the day:

  • On this section of coastline there are so many little beaches down wind lanes that it is so hard to know which ones are going to be beauties and which ones not to bother with and of course there is no simple answer so we have to try as many as we can!
  • So far none of the little single track lanes have proved a problem and every beach has a car park of sorts so….

Today’s stats:

  • Miles driven – 35
  • Miles walked – 5
  • Beaches – 4
  • Aire – £11.63
