Mission – experience true freedom whilst travelling around the UK
Cross Coombe Farm, Trevellas (5 – 9th October 2017 £15pn) – Small CS with 9 pitches – set in valley looking towards St Agnes, you can hear but not see the sea – half a mile from Trevellas Cove (Wild swimming hidden beach). Beautiful sunsets, very quiet and peaceful – good dog walking. Facilities basic but adequate.
Crossroads CCC LS at Cubert (9th – 14th October 2017 £18 pn) – small listed site with about 20 level pitches – would feel very hemmed in when full but only one other on site at time of stay. Fab location for dog walking only about half a mile down quiet lane to acres of common land perfectly safe for dog to run loose and then 3 fabulous sandy beaches within easy walking distance. Facilities very basic and would be tough when site busy. Ladies shower and tumble dryer not working and though understandably not being repaired until next year – no discount on site fees offered.
Tregurrian CCC, Watergate Bay (14th – 22nd October 2017 £14.50pn) – nice level site set up above Watergate Bay. Dog walks from site limited to walking along the lanes but only 15 mins walk to huge beach at Watergate Bay – so plenty of fun for dogs unless tide right in. Facilities good – shower nice and powerful but one of those stop start ones.
Carnewas Farm CL, St Eval (22nd – 27th October 2017 £12pn). Reasonably level field, short walk from Bedruthen Steps. One toilet in Portacabin in neighbouring field – bit basic! Wellies required all the time as grass quite long- on third day needed a tow from tractor as got stuck topping up water. No other walks around.
Treglines Farm CL (27th – 31st October 2017 £13pn) – small sloping field – nice rural views. Toilet in shed – ok. Plenty of rural walks and within walking distance of Polzeath, Daymer Bay & Rock.
Trewethett CAM, Tintagel (31st October- 6th November 2017 £14.50pn). Fab site with tiered level pitches overlooking the sea – stunning. Good facilities – plenty of walking albeit some of it challenging. Walking distance of Tintagel and Boscastle.
