After a dry night is started raining first thing (yes a soggy dog walk for us) and carried on raining until about 2pm at which point we made a dash for it. Deciding to stay local and seize the moment we just popped down the lane passed Whitesands where a few families were also making the most of the dry spell…

And on to Barn Ness Beach, which we suspected would be empty…

Indeed it was, so we spent a happy and dry hour or so enjoying the beach and the warmth (surprisingly so).

Excellent choice and timing as sure enough shortly after arriving back on site, the heavens opened again!

Two thoughts of the day:

There are some soggy looking campers around.
