A beautiful crisp sunny day greeted us today and not wishing to get in the car, we took our selves off for a walk down the lanes to see Milnthorpe Sands.
Over to the north of us we could just catch glimpses of the snowy peaks of the Lake District.
Whilst basking in the sunshine to the south we were soon walking along the shores of the Kent Channel, looking at Arnside and its vast sand banks.
And eventually Milnthorpe Sands.
It didn’t seem possible to actually get to the sands because of the strip of boggy marshland and rocky sea defences and I suspect they are more mud than sand! So we contented ourself with the sunny walk along the embankment- breaking ourselves in gently!
Two thoughts of the day:
It might be cold out there but we are warm as toast in here!
Snow is forecast for the next couple of days – I wonder?
