A mostly dry and cloudy day, brightening up in the afternoon – still quite breezy especially on the coastal path! We parked up at Freshwater East and decided to take a walk along the coastal path heading west. Climbing up the hill gave us a spectacular view back down onto the quite busy beach.
Out on Trewent Point we could see across to Swanlake Bay and Manorbier in one direction and to Barafundle Bay and Stackpole Head in the other.
We continued along the path for sometime enjoying the views and to be honest the breeze!
When we had had our fill, we about turned and headed back for a walk along the beach.
Oh and of course a quick dunk in the river.
Two thoughts of the day:
There is a Caravan and Motorhome Club site here at Freshwater and it is just behind the beach – I cancelled my booking here as I thought it would be too busy with little people – but we had a look around and think it would be a great place to stay off peak.
Why, as we are experiencing the best summer for years are the experts predicting doom and gloom about global warming etc. Hey we had an incredibly wet and long spring- let us enjoy the summer please!
