Cloudy but warm start with a mostly clear sunny and hot afternoon. I can’t believe we have been here 3 weeks already! So it was time for us to pack up and move on this morning to beaches new. Unusually we have decided to retrace our steps a little and move to South Pembrokeshire rather than our original plan of continuing on up the Welsh coast. Having spent the last three weeks visiting all the stunning beaches of mid and north Pembrokeshire, I couldn’t bear to leave south Pembrokeshire for a re-run in however many years time! So here we are on the outskirts of the little hamlet of Martletwy staying at a small 6 unit (adult only – no little folk – tehe!) site attached to Cwm Deri Vineyard, just a few miles inland from lots of lovely beaches.
After settling in we went for a walk to explore the lanes around the site and wandered in and out (it is tiny) of Martletwy- no shops or pub just lots of begonias! All very peaceful.
And then on a quick dash to Haverfordwest to buy Poppydog a replacement collar – as she snapped hers this morning rushing to say Hello to next doors dog! Then a relaxing evening sitting in the sun – life is good!
Two thoughts of the day:
Just to set the record straight, I don’t have a problem with little people per se but Poppydog just gets so excited when she hears children playing and sees them running or cycling about, that she is a nightmare!
Could have quite happily thrown the Sat Nav out of the window, it wanted me to drive around the centre of St David’s which wasn’t necessary and then kept harping on about it for miles until I eventually pulled off the road to reset it!!!!
