A much better day today, mostly blue skies, though still a stiff breeze blowing which was chilly first thing but very pleasant for walking in later. We walked from site part way up Carn Llidi (the hill of last nights sunset) and followed the path along to St David’s Head, enjoying some pretty spectacular views along the way.
Looking down on Whitesands Bay and our first glimpse of Porthmelgan, a pretty sandy cove on the way.
On to St David’s Head, with incredible views out to sea towards Ramsey Island (RSPB Reserve) and out into the deep blue (oh yes its back) sea.
On the way back we popped down onto Porthmelgan beach for a bit of R & R in the sun and a paddle (the sea is cold here).
What a stunning little beach.
Back across the moorland passing some fragrant wild honeysuckle growing in the hedgerow high above the sea – aaah!
Two thoughts of the day:
Fresh croissants from the farm shop this morning for breakfast – fine way to start the day!
No pink sky tonight but a lovely golden glow to the skyline.
