Not only did we we have a couple of hours on the beach this morning- almost to ourselves which was idyllic but then we walked to Porth (outskirts of Newquay) along the coastal path with a minor detour ( note to self 800 meters is not on the way) to buy a can of coke and some crisps before the return trip. Porth beach was a bit disappointing – lots of dry sand without any dramatic backdrop- and I suspect had the tide been out the Whipsiderry beach just before would have been much more interesting. All in all a round trip of about 7 miles which for the moment seems to be my limit! Even Poppydog is dragging behind me on the way up the last hill – mindyou for every mile I do on the beach she must do 10!
I have decided that the other Newquay beaches will have to wait until next time round ( I have visited them all on previous occasions) as they are just too far to walk from here and my original idea of getting a bus one way doesn’t seem necessary.
So we are all snuggled up now for a very quiet evening and long restorative sleep!
I am too tired to have or remember any thoughts of the day!
